GOOD published an eye-opening infographic that shows just how precious our water supply is, especially in the developing world. Over 1.1 billion don't have access to clean, drinking water. That's over 1 in 6 people around the world and every 20 seconds, a child dies of a water-borne illness.

But education and awareness of water-borne diseases in the developing world can help on a local level to improve access to drinking water. In March, Right To Play and Vestergaard Frandsen hosted a play day focused on World Water Day to educate the children using play-based activities of water safety and conservation.  It's one way to change one community and their access to clean safe water.
