Dario Cologna won Switzerland’s first Olympic gold in the cross-country skiing event at the 2010 Winter Olympics. A year later, he became a Right To Play Athlete Ambassador, raising awareness and funding. The 2012 Swiss of the Year attends charity events and participates in speaking engagements, such as the 2013 Verbier Charity Night and has donated sports memorabilia for charity auctions inclusive of the FIS Hilton Gala. Dario is determined to support the use of play as a mechanism for teaching children how to overcome the obstacles.

“As an athlete, I have the opportunity to achieve my goals. Right To Play in an enjoyable way uses the energy in sport to teach children vital life skills and social competence. I want to contribute to that.”
