Uschi Disl is one of the most successful biathletes in Germany. Born in 1970, Uschi Disl started her career in cross-country skiing at the age of eleven. Already in her first Biathlon World Cup season 1990/1991 she succeeds in the first World Cup victory. Uschi Disl contributes significantly to the biathlon boom in Germany in the coming years. In 2005, she will be a two-time World Champion (sprint / pursuit) within 24 hours at the World Championships in Hochfilzen, Austria. She will be rewarded this year with the "Sportswoman of the Year" award. Her greatest achievements include two Olympic gold medals, 30 individual World Cup victories and eight gold medals. Since January 2017, Uschi Disl has been involved in Right To Play.
