On Thursday 25th March the entire Chelsea football squad came out to show their support for Right To Play at a fundraising evening held at the Emporio Armani store on Brompton Road, London.
Chelsea first team players including John Terry, Frank Lampard, Petr Čech and Joe Cole turned up to show their support for the charity along with additional Athlete Ambassadors Will Carling, Mark Foster and Ugo Monye.
The team really got involved throughout the night with the guests taking photo’s and signing memorabilia for children and grown up fans alike and encouraged guests to bid for auction items. Goalkeeper Petr Čech could not resist getting caught up in the silent auction, entering a bidding war to win a signed Gibson guitar.
Johnny Vaugn & Lisa Snowdown hosted the main auction and did a great job and getting everyone involved. The evening raised over £76,000 which will be split equally between Right to Play and Help a London Child - so a HUGE thank you to both Armani and Chelsea Football Club !
Armani and Chelsea have also teamed up to produce a commemorative t-shirt in aid of Right To Play and Help A London Child. This limited edition shirt costs £20.00 and is available exclusively from the Emporio Armani stores at Brompton Road and New Bond Street or the Chelsea Football Club Megastore at Stamford Bridge.
All profits from the sale of these t-shirts will be split between Right to Play and 95.8 Capital FM's Help a London Child.
