WHAT:
It is with great pleasure we announce Right To Play’s first ever Tribute Dinner honouring Gordon M. Nixon, OOnt, Ernie Els, Silken Laumann, Mike Weir, O.C., and Steve Yzerman. The Dinner will be held on Tuesday July 24, 2012 at the Westin Harbour Castle, Metropolitan Ballroom. We anticipate over 1,000 guests, including many prominent leaders from the business, political and sport communities.
Founded in 2000 by four-time Olympic gold medalist and social entrepreneur Johann Olav Koss, Right To Play uses sport and play to foster the hope and skills that are essential to envisioning and realizing a better future. A pioneer in its field, Right To Play implements programs in over 20 countries in Africa, Asia, the Middle East and South America, and each week more than 835,000 children take part in regular sport and play activities. Programming in Canada includes the enhancement of education in priority schools and the Promoting Life-skills in Aboriginal Youth (PLAY) program.
The evening is sure to be a special celebration of success with awards presentations as well as a live and silent auction.
