• Play’s Positive Influence in Early Childhood Education

    "It is a child's right to play and have fun," says Hanaa Abdel Wahab.

    Hanaa_300.pngPassionate about improving Lebanon's early childhood education system's curriculum, the mother of three wanted to get involved in her children's learning process. So when Hanaa discovered that Right To Play had a parents committee in her community, she joined it. Now, Hanaa uses our play- and game-based methodologies to teach her kids their schoolwork at home and, of course, to have fun.

    "I taught my son the letter D by using the memory game with real household objects," says Hanaa.

    Empowered with her newfound understanding about how play positively influences early childhood education, Hanaa has become an active member, teacher and mother within her Baddawi camp community. And she like many more moms are taking one step at a time to advance the use of play and stop to living amidst fear and violence.
