On March 8th, Right To Play received a €500,000 cheque from ASICS Europe. More than 100,000 ASICS consumers donated to the successful, in-store 2016 charity campaign. Alistair Cameron, the CEO of ASICS EMEA gave the cheque to Johann Olav Koss, a four-time Olympic speed skating medallist and the Founder of Right To Play.
ASICS offered a 20 per cent discount on its products in exchange for a €5 donation to the Right To Play charity, ASICS charity of choice. The in-store initiative was held across all ASICS brand stores, as well as on its ecommerce platforms and from November 2017 to January 2018. The money will provide 100,000 children with the opportunity to participate in a five-week sport and play program with Right To Play. Big thanks to everyone who supported the campaign.
POWER OP PLAY
ASICS and Right To Play both believe that play and sport can transform the lives of millions of vulnerable children around the world. By working together we can reach and help even more people through the power of sport and play.
ASICS will continue to promote and support Right To Play, through national events such as Dam tot Damloop – Europe’s largest one-day running event, as well as looking to see how we can grow our partnership across other markets around the world.
