For the second year, Right To Play launched the You Lead project with War Child in the Palestinian Territories' South Hebron Region. The project is also set to launch in the Gaza Strip.
Partner organizations, such as the Sika Touas village council, Beit Awa Youth Club, Alburj Youth Club and the Female Society Forum - Almajd, participated in the event and signed Memorandums of Understanding. The project empowers girls, helping them develop the leadership and social skills required to teach our play- and sport-based educational games and to prepare safe play-areas for children and youth.
"The project that Right To Play implements is outstanding and different from any other project," says Mahmoud Hawareen, a volunteer from Al-Thahrieh.
"They use sport and play as a tool for empowering social skills and encouraging participation among children and youth to create a future generation of leaders that will create a difference in their own societies."
