Right To Play/United Kingdom

As GB’s number one pole-vaulter for a number of years Kate Dennison’s athletic prowess was noticeable right from an early age. As a gymnast, Kate was selected to compete nationally and internationally but she found her passion lied with pole-vault and made the switch in 2000. Competing in the commonwealth games in 2006 and the Beijing Olympics in 2008 Kate gained valuable experience which has helped her to continually move up the world rankings. All this provided her the opportunity to win the bronze medal at the commonwealth games in 2010.

In the midst of breaking GB records for indoor and outdoor pole-vault, Kate Dennison found time to engage with Right To Play in 2008 and has been involved ever since. Her passion for sport is obvious and this transcends into her activities outside of high performance sport to giving back through Right To Play.
