Liz is one of Britain’s best long distance runners, having consistently represented Team GB on the world stage for more than a decade, and having run in both the Athens and Beijing Olympics.
Despite various setbacks she impressively pulled herself through to win bronze at the Commonwealth games in 2006.
Her powers of endurance were again tested in Beijing when she fell at the beginning of the race and cracked a rib, but nevertheless completed the race, finishing 26th.
Liz along side her husband Martin became a Right To Play Athlete Ambassador in May 2007.
Martin is himself an international athlete representing Britain in Duathlon and road running and twice won the British Duathlon Championships.
