Mark is an Olympic Champion. He won the gold medal at the Beijing Olympic Games in the lightweight double with partner Zac Purchase. Mark has been a member of the GB rowing team since starting as a Junior in 1995 and also competed in the lightweight four at the Athens Olympic Games where he finished 13th.

Mark joined Right To Play as an Athlete Ambassador in February 2009.
