Tim shot to fame at the 2008 Beijing Olympics by winning gold in the sprint kayak K1 1000m category and bronze in the K1 500m ensuring his place amongst Britain's most talented athletes. Eight years ago he won bronze in the K1 1000M at the Sydney Olympics where he produced a superb last 250m to take the bronze. Tim is also the current World and European Champion in the K1 1000m event.

After completing his medical studies at Nottingham University he took a year out to serve as a house doctor in Jersey but made a triumphant return to the water with a World Championship silver medal in 2006 at Szeged. This success was followed up with a brace of medals at the 2007 World Championships in Duisburg, Germany, where he took gold in the K1 1000m and silverover 500m.

Tim became a Right To Play Ambassador in August 2007 and parcticipated alongsideĀ nine other ambassadors in The Exposure Project throughout 2008.
