Kate Duhamel has written and directed narrative short films and a feature film, which have played in a variety of film festivals in the U.S. and Canada.  Through her company, Alley Oop Films, she produced Liberia and Lebanon, a short documentary about the impact Right To Play programs are having on the lives of children immediately affected by violence and conflict. She has also produced and edited promotional films for two NGOs working in the Middle East and Africa.

Prior to becoming a filmmaker, Ms. Duhamel was a co-manager and owner of Cable Television Systems in the Midwest.  She currently serves on the California State Film Commission.  Ms. Duhamel is also currently the chairperson of the Far West Freestyle Division of the United States Ski Association, managing freestyle ski competitions in California. She also serves on the Squaw Valley Freestyle Team Board of Directors, and has served on several school boards and committees.

Kate graduated from Stanford University in 1983 with a major in Human Biology, and from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1988.
