Right to Play partners with DevResults to better measure and communicate impact

Our Partners

Right To Play protects, educates, and empowers children in 14 countries around the world using the power of play. Over its 20-year history, the organization has developed proven play-based methodology and programs that helps children stay in school and thrive, teaches them how to protect themselves from harm, and empower girls and boys to rise above adversity and achieve their full potential.

Running programs on four continents and dozens of regions and cities, the organization needed system that would allow it to centralize all its program data and pull reports that support program learning and adaptation, data-driven decision-making, funder deliverables, and stakeholder communications. Right To Play chose DevResults to help fill those needs.

With over a decade of continuous improvement, DevResults has provided Right To Play with the benefit of a proven, constantly evolving tool that meets the rapidly changing needs of the international development sector as it adapts to ever-changing crises and contexts. Disasters, inequality, and wars don’t wait for anyone, and DevResults let Right To Play’s measurement teams hit the ground running with a fully functional site and multi-office training plans within weeks of making their decision.

Partnering with DevResults lets Right To Play focus on implementing programs that help children rise above the challenges they face, while DevResults handles the technology. Consistent measurement of performance and impact across programs help a diverse, global team to share their results and make collaborative, data-driven decisions based on a single shared understanding of how local results fit into the bigger picture of Right To Play’s work. It also helps the organization better communicate its impact to funders and stakeholders.

Moving to a single monitoring and evaluation tool required Right To Play to build a shared international framework for evaluation, and then train staff across 14 countries to upload data that conforms to that framework. That meant working with the DevResults team to train internal stakeholders and staff at Right To Play, as well as soliciting user feedback to inform how the data would be structured. The result is fast, easy-to-understand results that can be compared across programs, allowing Right To Play to quickly reassess differences in performance and impact between countries and projects.

The collaboration between Right To Play and DevResults means stronger data for monitoring, stronger evaluation, and a bigger impact. Thanks to our partnership, more children will experience deeper transformations of their lives, equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need to rise above the crisis.
