An  Alberta native and Ghanaian-Canadian Sam Effah is a celebrated athlete, representing Canada in three World Championships, three World University Games, and two Commonwealth Games. Inducted into the 2021 Canada West Hall of Fame, he's a two-time Canadian Champion in the 100-metre and served as co-Chef de Mission for the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, UK. Passionate about sport, marketing, and entrepreneurship, Effah volunteers as an athlete ambassador with Right To Play and as a past Classroom Champions mentor, inspiring youth worldwide. In 2019, he appeared on The Amazing Race Canada Season 7, showcasing his resilience and storytelling abilities while placing second. In his professional life, Effah contributed to RBC Future Launch, helping young people prepare for the future of work. Now a manager on RBC's Brand Marketing team, he supports RBC Training Ground, funding future Olympians, and RBC's sports marketing initiatives, including Olympic Games campaigns.
